Catherine Beattie is trained
in remedial massage but the majority of her work encompasses a blend
of remedial and deep relaxation:
"I am to provide you with a time and
space where you feel able to relax and forget about the outside world.
You
may have physical problems that massage can help to relieve, such
as high blood pressure, disturbed sleep patterns, poor circulation orpoor digestion; or you may just need an hour away from work and family
to unwind, relax and concentrate on yourself and YOUR needs.
Devoting
just ONE HOUR each month to nurture both your body and your mind is
easy to arrange; being pro-active in looking after your health
will give your spirit a lift".
The aim of each treatment is to
help you calm your mind, relax your body, breathe more deeply and
to feel reconnected with your physical body. As a society we tend
to 'think/do' rather than just 'be', so massage is a wonderful way
to re-discover your inner stillness.
If a particular time and
day suits you, then it can be booked as your regular slot. The last
appointment time is 8-9pm, so even if you have children, a session
should be easy to arrange.
Each session begins
with a brief health questionnaire (for new clients) and a discussion
about any problem areas that need to be addressed. Extra time is allowed
for payment and rebooking, so you get the full 60 or 90 mins on the
massage table.
